The H.O.U.S.E. (Helping Odette Undergraduate Students Excel) iniative is a program at the Odette School of Business that was made to help students get involved. From day one students are put into one of four houses and matched up with a leader who is very knowledgeable and has been through what you are currently going through. The program awards points for each H.O.U.S.E. sponsored event at Odette in hopes of engaging students outside of the classroom setting. The H.O.U.S.E. program is orchestrated by the Odette Commerce Society with administration actively involved. The H.O.U.S.E. with the most points will be rewarded for their hard work with a spectacular price at the end!
Each house will have approximately 6-7 upper year students. Referred to as Leaders, they are here to provide you with support and show you what it means to be a part of the Odette family!

The Toastmasters Club provides a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every individual member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self confidence and personal growth. Members of the club participate in planned, impromptu, and contest speaking every Wednesday at 7:30 pm in room 205. Guests are encouraged to attend.
The Odette Marketing Association is group of student executives who are passionate about marketing. Our ultimate goal is to help business students advance their marketing knowledge and gain real world experience. We host various events throughout the year for students to learn and interact with each other within the community. You do not need to be a marketing major to join OMA, we accept students from all areas of study to build the diverse OMA team.
The Odette Accounting Society offers accounting students the opportunity to network with local accounting employers. We also organize events for accounting students, professors, and other faculty members to network and acquaint with one another in informal settings.
The Odette Athletic Club is an organization of students who are passionate about sports, health, and an active lifestyle. OAC provides an outlet for students who seek to remain active during the school year. OAC holds events throughout the semester which include hot yoga, volleyball, golf, soccer and more. We are looking for students who are willing to devote their time to OAC and to a healthy lifestyle.
The Human Resources Association is a student run organization dedicated to the creation of HR related opportunities. We host a variety of events and panel discussions such as mock interviews, case competitions, and round table discussions with local HR executives. We also have a strong connection with our local Human Resources Professional Association of Windsor and district (HRPAW) and assist our member in networking with HR professionals.
AIESEC Windsor is the local chapter of the largest student run organization in the world. It is the international platform for young people to explore and develop their potential to have a positive impact on society. AIESEC has 50 years of experience in developing high potential students into globally minded leaders.
Students Offering Support is a national network of students volunteering together to raise marks, money, and roofs. This is accomplished through our Exam-AID initiative where senior students voluntarily run group review sessions prior to a midterm or final exam for a $20 donation. All the funds raised are invested into sustainable education projects.
Enactus Windsor is comprised of a dynamic group of motivated individuals who strive to empower people, instill entrepreneurial action, and enhance the economic health of the community by establishing sustainable projects that address community needs. Enactus is an international network of students in 36 countries, with over 60 teams across Canada. We currently run 5 diverse local initiatives in the Windsor-Essex area: CookStart, Youthrive, CityThrive, Windsor Soup, and WeThrive; in addition to Project Releaf, in which we build sustainable water filters in South Africa.
The Pre-Law Students Society is led by a dedicated group of individuals who are determined to expose our members to a variety of positions in the legal profes- sion. We do this by introducing our members to the local legal community and by providing them with many opportunities to learn. Some of our highlight events include our annual Bid on a Lawyer Gala, discussion panels with legal professionals, and mock LSATs. PLSS strives to assist our members in becoming the best law school applicant they can be.
The Odette Commerce Society (OCS) is a student-elected society representing over 2000 full-time undergraduate students attending the Odette School of Business at The University of Windsor.
The Odette Commerce Society is organized through executives as well as full-council members. The executives represent the Presidential Portfolio, the Executive Vice Presidential Portfolio, Corporate Relations, Finance, Marketing, Administration, and Internal/External Events. Council members consists of Logistics Coordinators, Sponsorship Coordinators, Sponsor Relations Officers, Sponsor Analysts, Internal Finance Coordinators, Budget Coordinators, Social Media Coordinator, Project Managers for Academic, Social, and Philanthropic Events, Philanthropic Coordinators, Academic Coordinators, Social Coordinators, Artistic Director, Web Designers, Graphic Designers, Photographers, H.O.U.S.E. (Helping Odette Undergraduate Students Excel) Mentors, and Head H.O.U.S.E Mentors.
The OCS annually hosts and supports various events within the university community and around North America. Some of the more popular events planned for this year include: the OCS Orientation Week, the Richard Peddie High School Debate, the Odette School of Business Gala and various of competitions. The OCS also provides the student body with handbooks, training sessions, and excellent networking opportunities.
